CLIMATE

Seychelles enjoys a pleasant, year round, tropical climate. The islands lie outside of the cyclone belt and there are no extremes of weather. Normal temperature range is between 24º and 33º celsius. The north-west tradewinds blow between October and May when the sea is generally calm and the weather hot and humid. This is the best time for diving. Between November and April the south-east tradewinds blow and the weather is generally drier and cooler, with rougher seas, particularly on south-eastern coastlines. Heavy but short-lived downpours can occur at any time of the year.

For many, the very cite of the name 'Seychelles' conjures up an epitome of an idyllic and exotic terminus, blessed with sun-kissed beaches and endless aquamarine lagunas, basking in magnificent isolation and seclusion. With over 115 coral and granite islands spread over 1.3 million straight klicks of the Indian Ocean the realism more lives up to the prospect - the Seychelles are undeniably beautiful, well nigh beyond feeling. General Gordon of Khartoum excellently mentioned, during a visit to the island of Mahé, that the scenery would ply an appropriate background for the biblical Garden of Eden.

Situated around 1,200 miles from the East Coast of Africa, 4 levels in the south of the equator, to the north-east of Madagascar, the Seychelles were uninhabited until the 18th 100. The French were the first to decide the islands and in nastiness of intermittent British involvement over the resulting years, French oral communication, influence and culture were asseverated and go forward to dominate to this Clarence Shepard Day Jr..
Seychelles is an unashamedly expensive finish, more so for those liking to feel the islands to the extent that they emphatically merit. If you can afford it, withal, you wont be let down. The islands are a paradise for island ground balls and nature lovers alike and visitants should ideally attempt to commingle a visit to the chief terminuses of Mahé, Praslin and La Digue with stays in the outlying smaller islands and reticences. Seychelles accommodation, which at one time miscarried to live up to the grandeur of the surrounds, is straightaway at A level comparable to any in the world with a number of properties laying a measure to which others would do well to aim.

MAHE
The largest and most developed of Seychelles islands, Mahé is stock still alone 17 miles in length and between 2 and 5 swedish miles in breadth. The islands inside is mastered by striking high granite tips and outcroppings smothered by obtuse tropic timber. It is accessible by a series of walking trains and.
Lodging an impressive kitchen range of plant lifes and brutes, a great deal of it unequaled to Seychelles.
Mahé's beaches are its master tourist attraction. So Beau Vallon, in the north of the island, was erst the most popular beach country in Seychelles. The principal town of Victoria, the world's smallest capital metropolis, is family to over 90 % of the intact population with a number of visitant attractivenesses worthy of a visit including the local market place, the Victoria Botanical Gardens and the National Marine Park.

PRASLIN
Praslin is the 2nd largest of the Seychelles archipelago islands with a mountainous, succulent terrain similar thereto of its nigh neighbour, Mahé, which lies 45 kms to the south-west. Quieter and less developed than Mahé, Praslin is family to some 5,000 dwellers and is notable for its unique, autochthonic cocoanut, the Coconut palm de Mer, which can be witnessed in the islands Vallée de Mai National Park.
With its close proximity to Mahé, Praslin is getting more and more popular with tourers, as a Gemini - and triple-centre too as a stay-put option, with a number of smaller, more informal properties having been made here. Praslin's pristine island beaches, including Anse Lazio, Anse Volbert and Grande Anse, are amongst the finest in Seychelles, blustering soft, white moxie amongst idyllic mounts.

LA DIGUE
La Digue is the smallest and the least developed of the main Seychelles islands. It is popular as a day trip for many visitors from Mahé and nearby Praslin, which lies just 5 kilometres away. Conversely, the islands quiet, understated atmosphere also make it ideal for a more relaxed, stay-put holiday. The main form of transport on La Digue is the bicycle or the traditional oxcart. Both are perfect for exploring the wonderful beaches to be found here, particularly those on the islands south-east coast, the highlight of which is the iconic Anse Source d'Argent. Strewn with naturally weathered granite boulders, this ever-popular beach has become a symbol of the entire Seychelles archipelago and as such, is featured in most visitor itineraries.

ISLAND RESORTS
Likewise as the master islands of the Seychelles archipelago covered earlier, many other smaller islands go to make up the mathematical group. Ideal for island groundballs and those trying the ultimate in seclusion, the islands dwell of two distinct mathematical groups - the Inner and Outer Islands.
Mahé, Praslin and La Digue shape the middle of the Inner Island aggrouping. Other important Islands lying within the grouping include Bird, Denis, Cousine, Silhouette and Second Earl of Guilford. Dispersed generally around their larger neighbours, all of these islands are household to private, sole retreats. At the same time they are significant as important nature second stringers, with big settlements of sea birds including sooty terns and common noddies.
The Outer Island grouping, lying to the south-west of the Inner Islands, is more outback and far flung. There are four radicals altogether, the largest of which is the Amirantes Group stopping the island of Desroches, home to the luxury recourse of the same epithet. Farther to the south lie the Farquar and Alphonse Groups and beyond those, closer to Madagascar than Mahé, lie the Aldabra Group, household to the world's largest got up coral atoll and a vast form of marine and bird life sentence.
